Our story begins about 15 years ago in our kitchen using pizza stones in the oven. I always had a vision to make great pizza, and I never understood why the pizza didn't come out right. I realized that our home oven was not capable of getting hot enough for an amazing crust.
I started experimenting making pizzas on the barbeque for my family using store bought dough. The dough never was quite right so I decided to make my own. Through lots of trial and error, I was able to perfect my dough and refine my pizza making skills.
It was a game changer when I decided to build a woodburning oven in my backyard. The first pizza that I cooked in there changed my life! We couldn't believe the amazing taste and the crisp crust. The woodburning oven can rise to the extreme temperatures exceeding 800 degrees which is essential to create the perfect pizza crust. My family and I expanded our repertoire of recipes by experimenting with different sauces and toppings. We were hooked!
We received great reviews from our family and friends, so we decided to spread the love around! We now serve our incredible woodfired creations throughout San Diego with our unique mobile woodfired kitchen. You'll find us all over North County San Diego at farmers markets, sporting events, parties, breweries, etc..
Our pizza and breads are one-of-a-kind. We make our dough fresh daily, and then let it cold rise for two days to get that perfect flavor and texture. We use the freshest ingredients available in everything we serve. We are proud to offer not only pizzas, but artisan breads, meat and pasta dishes and great salads.
